Wonderful tribute, Thank you for sharing.
I grew up next door to Ron and all of his family. We were close at times, and I do have fond memories of our childhood. It was Ron who got me my first grown-up paying job when I was in junior high school. Ron drove my and our nearby neighbor Chuck to Artesia. They both told me that it was an easy job, "picking worms" and putting them into little boxes to sell to fishermen. It was the dirtiest (cow pasture worm farm) and the smelliest job ever! Dug worm beds on my knees and back bent over for a few days until I got fired for picking worms that were too small and for not having the correct 50 count! I'll always remember that. Don't remember what they paid, something like a dollar an hour or so? But gasoline was only a quarter a gallon then. It seems like Ron and Chuck were always working on cars, something else I knew nothing about. Ron was a quiet type, and strong as a bull. He always meant what he said and it was usually about all business. He had the greatest smile I recall. I think he got me out of more trouble that he got me into? He was like the older brother to me that I never had. Thanks to his family for sharing these memories and photos of him. He surely is very proud of all of you.
Take care,
Always, Jim Watkins from Elm St. Anaheim (now in Idaho)
You Will Live On
Ron,
If tears could build a stairway
And memories a lane,
Michelle would walk right up to heaven
And bring you home again.
Your daughter Michelle has made it her mission to make sure you are not forgotten. Your legacy will live on and your name will never slip from our memories.
Rest in Peace,
Debbie and Jayden
Hello From Heaven
ββ±β£β°β
It's me again from Heaven
With a message from above
Feel my spirit all around you
As I sprinkle you with love...
ββ±β£β°β
I have watched you, as your tears flow
I have heard your silent screams
I know you sleep with visions
Of me visiting your dreams...
ββ±β£β°β
I have come and sat beside you
Placed my hands upon your face
Wiped away the many teardrops
I so wish I could erase...
ββ±β£β°β
I have watched you every day now
Seen such pain within your eyes
I just wish that there were some way
I could help you realize...
ββ±β£β°β
I am happy up in Heaven
In this peaceful loving place
Where I will be here waiting
To welcome you with my embrace...
ββ±β£β°β
You will join me here in Heaven
When your time comes you’ll see
Leave your Earthly cares behind you
Travel on to where you’re free...
ββ±β£β°β
I have heard you ask to go now
But there is more for you to do
I promise I'll be waiting
When your time on earth is through ...
ββ±β£β°β
Have you ever lost someone you loved who was very dear to you?
One who you loved so much and miss them like I do,
Have you ever had a headache too painful to bear?
And shed those bitter tears that fall like the rain,
If you never had that feeling,
I'll pray you never do,
For when God takes the ones you love,
He takes a part of you.
